Reviews for Nikon D70 / D100 / D200 / D300 / D700
I've got the inside stuffed full for now so things don't move around, but as I add lenses (50mm f/1.8 on the way), I can make room.
Photo Contains:
Nikon D70 with kit lens attached,
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro APO II lens
, SB-600 FLash and Stand ,
lens caps, CF Reader,
battery charger, filters, electrical cords.

I love my mini-trekker almost as much as the Nikon D70 -- and I didn't think I would, cause I've never been a "backpack person" -- I used to use a Pelicase, and still do for rougher excursions.
Photo contains:
Nikon D70 with 80-200mm f/2.8 lens attached
Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens
Nikon 28mm f/2.8 wide angle lens
Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX
Nikon SB-28 flash
stroboframe flash bracket and cable, usb cable, video cable, AA batteries for flash, spare d70 battery, memory cards.
Here's the inside of my bag:
And here's the outside:
If you're thinking of getting a mini-trekker -- all I can say is I highly recommend it!

A nice camera bag (backpack actually)! It's a Lowepro Mini Trekker All Weather. Fits perfect for what I have. I can even fit my Sony camcorder in there. Hopefully you can read the labels I put on the picture to show you where I store everything now.
Contains: Nikon D70 + Sony dcr-trv330 video camera + chargers & video tapes + wide angle video lens + 70-300mm lens + SB-600 Flash & Lens Hood.

Great bag.
I have only good words for this bag. exceptional quality. Many nice rooms. Can easily fit much more. I have always used ordinary camera-bags hanging on one shoulder. Great to have all the weight of that shoulder, and on the back instead.
Right now my bag contains:
Nikon D70
1x18-70mm
lens, 1x 50mm f/1.8
1x 85mm f/1.8
1x70-300mm lens
Canon Digital Ixus400
lens filters
Nikon SB-800 speedlight with all accessories
Chargers for both my Nikon D70 and my Canon Digital Ixus400
Battery charger for the Speedlight
Cables for the camera
Lens-pens and cleaners
Card reader
Compact-Flash Cards
Extra batteries
Manuals
+ much more not worth mentioning

I was recently looking for a lightweight backpack to carry my camera and my most essential lenses for a day's outing, and came across a thread on dpreview forums which persuaded me to buy the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW.
Like me, one of the posters was sceptical as to whether a bag quoted as being just 5 inches deep internally could adequately accommodate a D2X or D2H since these bodies are nearly 6 inches tall. Well, I took the risk and now that mine has arrived, I can post a very positive report. As the following images show, this bag will take these bodies with ease as well as several lenses.
This shot shows the bag's velcro adjustable compartments modified to take ...
Nikon D2X with my Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 AF-S attached with lens hood normally attached.
Beyond that, my Nikon 12-24mm f/4 with hood reversed, and one of the velcro compartments attached to the base to give it even better protection.
Down the right side, my Nikon 70-200mm VR f/2.8 with hood reversed.
Down the left side, compartment 1 = Nikon 45mm f/2.8 P lens; comp 2 = Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro; comp 3 = 10.5mm f/2.8 fisheye; comp 4 = Nikon 1.4x TC and Nikon 1.7x TC teleconverters one above the other.
There is still loads of room in the front pocket for spare cards and batteries.
This second shot shows the bag closed, and no unsightly bulges visible, proving that sometimes 6 inches will fit into a 5 inch bag ;o)
2.) After modifying the innards to accommodate my lenses, I still had 4 velcro partitions left over, so you can rest assured there is plenty of scope for personalising this bag for your own equipment preferences.
3.) I am really pleased to see that this bag incorporates compression straps to ease the strain on the zip fasteners.
4.) Oh, and just a slightly OT comment ... don't forget to use an ultra-violet pen to write your zip code / post code inside the bag ... it may just help the police to return your treasured possessions if they are ever stolen ... I have every item of my camera equipment marked in this way.
