1.) Empty with dividers in - the padded dividers are designed really well. They velcro to the bag at the top on the front and back sides. The dividers are split into 3 separate "boxes" that can be taken out individually. Each of these "boxes" has 4 foam inserts on each side. They can be taken out individually as well. For example, I took out the left and right pads of the center "box" because there is already padding there from the left and right "boxes".

2.) Empty with dividers out - The floor of the bag is padded as well, and it can be removed if you really need the space.

3.) All geared up! - This bag is perfect as a photojournalist bag - keeping all my necessary items with me, and both my cameras ready to use (Proper lenses on and ready to grab). List of things loaded into the bag in this shot:
LEFT BOX: 1DII with 16-35 f/2.8+hood on regular
RIGHT BOX: 1DIIN with 70-200 f/2.8+hood reversed
CENTER BOX: Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro with 1.4x TC attached, Canon 50 f/1.4+hood reversed, 2x Pocket Wizards.
OUTSIDE POCKETS: Epson P-3000, Extra Battery, 580 EX Flash, Rocket Blower, Cables, Cards

4.) Showing the mesh pockets on the flap - good place to store little things.

5.) Left and Right Pockets - Very deep, enough room to store pretty large items, but you'd sacrifice safety as there is no padding other than the canvas. I do believe there are add-on pocket inserts you can buy however.

6.) A view of all the stuff that was loaded in the Domke for the review. Everything fit easily, nothing felt crammed - and I'm sure I could have fit lts more in the pockets and around things inside the bag.

7.) Outside views and measurements!

Overall, this is a GREAT bag! I got it to replace me beloved National Geographic Medium Shoulder bag that couldn't handle two 1D's (or 2 cams with grips for that matter) without feeling that it was going to burst at the seams. The canvas on this bag is a little more rigid, but I hear the more you use them, the more they tend to soften up and wear in.
The only thing I would change about it is the clasps that hold the top flap down (to close the bag). When I have it packed full, with lenses on - it's kind of hard to pull it closed. There isn't really any way to make them longer or shorter like most bags have. I found an easy fix to this problem tho, just buy a couple of cheap-o small D-Rings (Carabieners) to extend it a couple inches.

I'm selling the F-1x and keeping the F-7AF, but some people may like the shorter height of the F-1x over the F-7AF. Either way, I chose the F-7AF as my main bag because of the height and pocket-LESS back. This bag doesn't come close to being full. The height of the F-7AF is ideal for the 580EX II and 430EX in their respective case and the Lowepro Filter Pouch.
Likes about the bag:
Height, Ability to put mounted 70-200 f/4L IS vertical in bag, 2 Full Set-ups ready
Dislikes about the bag:
Wish it came in Olive Drab
