Reviews for Nikon D70 / D100 / D200 / D300 / D700
Review #1
I recently purchased a Nikon D70 and have used the LowePro Orion Mini with my relible old Nikon N-2020 SLR for several years.
It's a great second bag, especially for day trips. You definitely want a larger bag for all your goodies as this one will only hold the camera with
the lens attached and a few accessories such as a few lens filters, or spare battery pack. The camera is well protected and easily accessible
when the bag is worn as a fanny pack facing forward. The top hinges at the outside edge and hence flips out away from you when open. The belt
will adjust to a wide range of waist sizes.
It's well constructed with a heavy-duty zipper using two pulls and the body is made of "Cordura" material. It is supposed to be water-resistant,
however I cannot say for sure since I tend to keep my cameras out of the rain. The inside of the cover has a small pocket that could hold several
CF cards. The manual is too big to fit the bag.
Attached are a few photos of the bag with camera. The photos show the Orion Mini with the camera, 18-70mm
lens, lens hood (reversed), neck
strap, battery charger and cord.
thanks to Mike Natzke for photos and comments.
