Canon EF 400 mm f/4 DO IS USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
batteries, CFs, several accessories![]()
I was looking for a bag large enough to accommodate my EF 400/4 DO (a bit shorter then the more famous EF 300/2.8L), together with my 1D Mark IV with 2-3 additional lenses. This because the 400/4 DO (as the other big white telephoto lenses from Canon) comes with a great hard case (see picture) and with a lens hood which, in practical terms, doubles the dimension of the lens when fitted! I use the 400mm for sport events, both indoor and outdoor and I hate to arrive with two bags, one for the 400mm only. So this Magnum 200 AW is the solution (provided I forswear the lens hood...) to carry all the gear needed for a professional sport event.
As you can see the 400mm (or a 300, eventually) is stored vertically in one half (where I store vertically the 1D+lens when I do not need the 400mm), and in the other half there is room for the camera (with the lens pointing down), an additional couple of lens and accessories.![]()
The bag is considered "soft", but in fact is more "rigid" then other similar bags, the base is hard and the cover system is really great. There are 3 handles on top: one typically longitudinal and 2 at the sides of the cover, for a better handling.
This is the smallest bag of the series: 400 AW and 600 AW can carry more lenses and a notebook, but become bulky...
