Porta Brace is a pure US Company quite famous for its video bags and camera covers. Their BLUE color can be seen allover the world around video cameras and their textile bags are very well known by film-maker around the globe. However, they have been outside the PHOTO world until the arrival of HDSLRs. Since then video makers started to ask for Porta Brace bags to carry their new equipment.
I personally do not shot video with my gear, but I recently decided to try a Porta-Brace bag in its standard blue color, the CAR-1 Model. It is not too big, light, very well made and highly customizable.
In addition I also bought a internal divider kit in order to really customize my bag like I never did before. And this is the main asset of this bag: I have designed the interior of it, easily and offering the max possible protection to the content. I have 2 digital cameras and I want to store them ready to use and with the lens facing down in order to prevent dust to easily reach the sensors. With this bag I can place my two cameras (one is a bulky 1D) and 2 additional lenses.
Great bag, very well built and highly customizable!
construction, easily customizable
:
additional divider kit is optional, a bit costly...
