Typical Domke low profile design, doesn’t draw attention to itself. Good size
But quite expensive, carrying handle could benefit from an ability to adjust it on both sides.
Whether or not you like Domke bags depends largely on whether the style appeals to you. Domke bags generally appeal to people who like the fashionable worn and distressed look they acquire over time, like an old pair of jeans. If you prefer a clean and smart appearance it would be best to look elsewhere.
This bag is basically just as the description says. Shares many of the qualities of the other Domke bags but is larger and perhaps more suited to professional needs in these days of large DSLR cameras. For most people it will probably often be a case of choosing between this model or the F2, and they will really need to be able to see them together a decide which is best for them. If you need to carry more than one large DSLR and don’t like to pack your bag too tightly this bag could be a good option. As is often the case with medium and large bags, it’s a case of deciding between the capacity of the larger version or the convenience of a smaller model.
Probably at its best when you take full advantage of the various inserts available for this range, allowing you to customise the bag as you require. Perhaps not the ideal solution if you have to carry a large amount of equipment a long distance (if this is what you expect to do its worth considering a back pack style bag) or you expect to be working outside in poor weather (these bags are not particularly water proof, and you may find something like a large Billingham with their new Stormblock Canvas more suitable). This bag is more suited to the photographer who spends more time taking photographs than carrying the equipment.
Basically, to summarise, if you like Domke bags and need to pack a lot of equipment this could be a good choice, but you really need to see it first.
