Pros: Holds what I want and then some. Well made.
Cons: Strap is like piano wire on your shoulder when full- Buying the optional USPS strap ($13.95) is a must!!

A very versitile and BIG bag. Holds about all I can carry around the city. Padding in just the right places keeps this bag from being too bulky, despite it's larger dimensions. No frills that Domke is famous for make this a winner.

Pros: Large, low profile, not to heavy
Cons: Price

Basically as already stated, a versatile and big bag. If you are looking for a big bag and like the ballistic nylon finish then this could be the bag for you. Nice large end pockets that can take anything from the usual odds and ends you might carry to an extra lens or body. Straightforward simplistic design mercifully free or all those endless extra pockets and compartments that you always seem to lose that sync lead in. Like other Domke bags it has minimal padding, but there should be enough padding for most requirements providing you are not involved in something particularly hazardous.

I have rated this bag 10 because it does everything you would expect from a large nylon bag. Anything you may dislike about it is really just a matter of personal preference rather than bad design. In an ideal world a camera bag would be twice as large inside as it was outside and weigh nothing. But as long as we are confined by the laws of physics this is as good as it gets. If you need a smaller bag then you should be looking at the J2 or J3. Its main compartment is fully lined with Velcro loop material so you can use it with any of the Domke inserts available. Lose the bottom stiffener from the bag and it weighs in at about one and a half kilos. That’s pretty light for a bag this size, and about a kilo lighter than the Domke F-1X on my scales, which translates as the weight of an extra DSLR camera. Anyone who has carried camera equipment any distance will appreciate how much difference that can make.
