Description:

Street-smart camera bags!

Redesigned for 2006, our new UrbanGear line is intended to accommodate the serious or occasional photographer and videographer while traveling through city streets or the jungle roads. Constructed of water-resistant rip stop 600D nylon and YKK zippers, their thick padding and adjustable internal dividers ensure maximum protection of the camera equipment, while the camera compartments can be removed to convert them to casual backpacks. Their shoulder harness system has been specifically designed to distribute the weight of heavy photo equipment while offering comfort and quick access.
They also feature a special compartment to conveniently and safely carry an MP3/CD player with you to listen to your favorite tunes while backpacking: simply put the player in the compartment and run the headphone wire through the special grommet. These backpacks can also hold a bottle and a tripod in 2 special compartments placed on the side of the bags.

• Designed for professional photographers, the U-220 will hold a pro DSLR, such as the Nikon D2X or Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, with up to a 300mm f/2.8 attached, plus 4-6 additional pro lenses, an extra body and 2 flash units.

• The laptop compartment features a removable, padded sleeve that will hold most 17” notebooks (sleeve dimensions: 15.5”x11”x2”).

• The U-220 also includes a removable zippered, two compartment clear vinyl organizer bag, perfect for storing extra batteries, cables, etc. as well as a rain cover.

• Double mesh water bottle pocket and tripod carrying system.

• Dedicated audio compartment and headphone grommet.

• Ergonomic waist belt system.

Pros: Solid, well built, large, many pockets, well padded
Cons: Bulky, cumbersome, can be heavy when full.

The only downside to this bag is its external size, it is like a suitcase on your back. But that's it. The bag is well designed, a lot of thought has gone into this bag. The lid of the camera compartment has a handy flip top and two zipped pockets enabling you to get at equipment without having to undo the whole lid. The many pockets and water bottle and tripod pocket and loops, all work well. This bag has been designed to be functional and clever, and I for one think it is. Very well made and solid, this bag will take a pounding and leave your equipment none the worse for wear.
